Richard Smale and his 'team' extend a very warm welcome to everyone staying here at the Old Court House Hotel and have been doing so since 1981
We are situated on the fringe of Gorey, a charming little port on the islands tranquil south east coast, four miles from the island capital of St. Helier.
The hotel is set in its own grounds away from the main road and directly opposite the 4 mile sandy beach of The Royal Bay of Grouville. On leaving the hotel grounds, cross the main road and you are on the beach! This is a perfect bay for swimming with various water sports being available during the summer months. Gorey Village (which has restaurants, a supermarket, post office, a chemist and others) lies directly behind the hotel, with The Royal Jersey Golf Club being just a few minutes walk away across the golf course.
A ten minute stroll along the sea front promenade wll take you to the old port of Gorey which lies beneath the magnificent towering ramparts of Mont Orgueil Castle. Gorey with its various bars, restaurants and shops is a yachting harbour which is popular with locals and tourists alike. On a clear day the French coastline is clearly visible - only 14 miles away.
Buses stop outside the hotel for the 25 minute journey into St. Helier.
With Jersey being only 9 miles x 5 miles everything Jersey has to offer is literally ‘on the doorstep’.
